Developed by the Brazilian Association of Organic Producers (ABPO), the Pantanal Sustainable Beef Program is a pioneering initiative dedicated exclusively to producers in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso do Sul. This program aims to align cattle raising with sustainability, promoting practices that protect the unique ecosystem of the Pantanal and benefit local communities.
The Pantanal, one of the world's richest ecosystems in biodiversity, faces significant challenges due to environmental degradation and the intensification of harmful agricultural practices. The Pantanal Sustainable Beef Program was created to tackle these challenges, establishing a production model that values sustainable management and local traditions. The initiative aims to anchor cattle raising in the region, ensuring it is environmentally responsible, socially just, and economically viable.
