Sustainability is an integral part of our culture. Guided by the values of the UN Global Compact, we focus on reducing our environmental footprint, fostering an inclusive and safe workplace for more than 6,000 employees across over 90 nationalities, and upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity in everything we do.
Our Environmental Commitments
We measure our energy and carbon footprint annually in accordance with the GHG Protocol, working with Sweep to track Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Our reduction efforts include promoting sustainable business travel, implementing waste reduction campaigns across offices and labs, enforcing responsible procurement policies, and empowering employees through sustainability training via QIMA Academy.
Each office and lab maintains a 'QIMA Goes Planet' poster with practical guidance on managing resources and waste, and we continue to phase out single-use materials in favor of reusable or biodegradable alternatives wherever feasible.
Ethics and Integrity
Integrity is non-negotiable at QIMA. Our Compliance Program, led by our Compliance Manager and supported by the Compliance Committee, ensures adherence to our Code of Ethics, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, and Fair Labor Policy. All employees complete mandatory compliance training annually through QIMA Academy, supplemented by weekly workshops, webinars, and case studies.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for integrity violations. Our whistleblower confidentiality protection policy provides safe, accessible channels for reporting concerns — including a dedicated hotline with multiple contact methods — ensuring that individuals who raise issues in good faith are protected from retaliation. We also conduct surprise audits where our internal auditors check on inspectors' ethical behavior and inspection results, and use technology to automatically assign auditors and inspectors to reduce the risk of bias or conflicts of interest.
Collaboration and Community Impact
We believe that meaningful progress requires collaboration. Through our memberships in organizations like the UN Global Compact, the TIC Council, Cascale, APSCA, and the Social & Labor Convergence Program, we work alongside industry peers to advance responsible practices across global businesses.
Internally, our teams bring this commitment to life through employee-led initiatives. Each year, over 1,000 employees from more than 40 offices participate in World Cleanup Day — now in its sixth consecutive year — addressing the global waste challenge alongside their families and local communities. In 2025, teams in Mexico and Colombia planted 510 trees with the support of 80 volunteers, achieving a potential capture of 15,300 kg of CO2, and we conducted four electronic waste collection campaigns, gathering 344 devices and preventing 1,720 kg of CO2 emissions.
When Typhoon Tino struck Cebu in November 2025, colleagues from more than 20 countries contributed through five global donation channels, with QIMA matching every contribution to help impacted employees repair or rebuild their homes — a response that reflects the strength of our global community and the role of solidarity as a core part of how we operate.
ESG Reports
Each year, QIMA publishes an ESG report to share progress on environmental, social, and governance priorities across our global operations and the industries we serve. These reports provide transparent, data-backed insight into how we're embedding sustainability into our services, technology, and company culture — and how that work supports our clients' own ESG and supply chain compliance goals.
Our 2025 ESG Report, Building Trust Through Sustainable Impact, marks QIMA's 20th anniversary and reflects a year of significant investment in technology, partnerships, and geographic expansion. Key highlights include the continued evolution of our AI-driven risk intelligence platform and data tools for due diligence, traceability, and carbon management; our first GHG inventory covering Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions; new strategic partnerships including our accreditation as an EcoVadis audit partner; and the expansion of QIMA Life Sciences' ethical testing capabilities across France, Germany, the UK, and Brazil.
All reports are aligned with the UN Global Compact principles and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, reinforcing our commitment to internationally recognized standards of ESG disclosure.
Supporting the United Nations Global Compact initiative (UNGC)
QIMA has been a participant in the United Nations Global Compact since 2021, committing to its ten principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Each year, we reaffirm this commitment through our CEO Statement of Continued Support and publish our Communication on Progress as part of our annual ESG Report.
Our UNGC participation provides a structured framework for setting targets, measuring progress, and holding ourselves accountable — from GHG emissions reduction and waste management to fair labor practices and anti-bribery compliance.
