For the QIMA Mark, you define which product characteristics are most important, and the team builds a tailored testing protocol around them. In both cases, you receive a scoping confirmation and test plan before any submission begins.
Your product is tested in QIMA ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories against the agreed criteria defined during scoping. Testing includes the relevant combination of functional, durability, safety, and performance assessments based on your product type and selected mark.
QIMA reviews your regulatory compliance documentation alongside test results. Depending on the product type and selected mark, a factory inspection may also be required to verify manufacturing consistency. Not all certifications require inspection, and your QIMA contact confirms applicable requirements during scoping.
Test results, documentation, and inspection findings are submitted to the certification body for review. For the FFU Mark, your product receives a grade, and the mark is awarded only at 2.3 or higher. For the QIMA Mark, the certification body approves your selected criteria and any custom keywords before final issuance. If selected, QR code configuration is completed at this stage.
Once approved, you receive your QIMA Certification Mark along with supporting documentation. The mark can be displayed on your product, packaging, marketing materials, and online store. Certification is valid for 2 years for the FFU Mark and 3 years for the QIMA Mark. QIMA notifies you ahead of renewal so certification remains continuous without interruption.
